The use of ICTs in the context of justice system institutions depends on the objectives that are set for their use.

First, ICTs can be used to improve management and performance in justice system institutions through management improvement and case processing tools, to improve the quality of information and to facilitate judicial decisions.

They also can be used to generate or improve the connection between judicial system institutions and the public, improving the level of access to justice through ICTs in order to provide greater access to information and facilitate access to various judicial services.


  • To build tools that facilitate the monitoring of the evolution of the use of ICTs in order to improve access to justice.
  • To improve and document best practices in order to improve and contribute elements to discussions on this topic.
  • To promote the exchange of experiences in the area
